Yesterday was National Franchise Dealers Association (NFDA) survey results day and far from being an obscure and arcane undertaking, of little interest to anyone not immediately associated with automotive retail, it’s actual a really good barometer of consumer sentiment. While ostensibly being all about a trade body asking its members what they think of the manufacturers they represent, it also provides some insight into those automotive brands that are getting things right for their customers (and by association the retailers who look after them). Given how topsy-turvy the sector is at the moment the results (and the climbers and fallers in particular) provide a good yardstick of who is getting it right and wrong at the moment. Auto Retail Network has the low down.
